Strapline runs something like "Petrolheads, feed your passion".&lt;br&gt;
Question it - if you're a petrolhead, what feeds yours?&lt;br&gt;
As fun as it is to watch VBH's grin go into fifth gear and hear her giggle of delight erupt mid-slide, it's still not enough 4 me.&lt;br&gt;
What does it for me is the bark of rapidly opening Webers, or flicking out of overdrive, late breaking for a 3rd gear corner, or the kickdown (sad but true I do own one autobox, albeit trying to control a rocketship) on a rapid overtake when the only reason you're risking it is knowing that the power in reserve is rather more than adequate.&lt;br&gt;
What about your petrolhead passion? Is it the creak of well worn leather seats in your aging Aston? The mix of smells of wood, petrol and leather in a Mk2? Or are your passions more voyeristic, admiring the curves of a D-type? Join the queue ...

And I've done a few speedy things on the ground and in the air. And for a good long journey, a big engine that's unstrained at the top end of "motorway speeds" (however you interpret that &lt;img src="/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif" alt=":DD" class="middle" border="0"&gt;) is just the thing. Even my earliest Scimitar would cruise at "adequate" speeds with my foot barely resting on the throttle, egging me on to squeeze just a bit more to give the old thing some exercise and see the repmobile tail huggers shrink in the rear view mirror. But &lt;a href="http://www.evo.co.uk/news/evonews/208188/ssc_aero.html"&gt;this article&lt;/a&gt;  talks of doing 230 mph at half throttle. Yes, 230!!. Imagine squeezing that throttle a little bit more. Good luck to them. hehehe.

	&lt;p&gt;These are three of my four present cars. I'm a vicar who continues to follow his lifelong passion to enjoy owning and driving fast cars. A recent PistonHeads article &lt;a href="http://www.pistonheads.com/news/default.asp?storyId=16079.htm"&gt;here&lt;/a&gt; reminded me how rare it is that the general public percieve vicars as people with real life interests and passions - contrary to popular opinion, we don't undergo a personality bypass as soon as we're ordained!
